Privacy policy

This policy matches the scripts on the site as of 2 Nov 2026. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load by default; Reject turns all three off for 180 days. The two site-authored preference keys are ptcgp_consent and ptcgp_adsbar_closed; the vendors may also set the cookies described below.

Who is responsible

The publisher of pokemontcgpocket.pro is the controller for the contact mailbox, for the first-party consent record, and for the analytics and advertising accounts described below. Email [email protected]. The Pokémon Company does not receive that mail.

Loaded by default, and how to turn it off

A first visit loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and the two Adsterra units straight away, without waiting for a click. The banner at the bottom of the page offers Accept and Reject: it appears after the page has already loaded those scripts. Choosing Reject switches every Consent Mode signal to denied, reloads the page and blocks the GA4 tag, Clarity tag and Adsterra units, blocks the YouTube trailer, and stores that choice for 180 days.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track, the page treats that as Reject and does not ask again on that load. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner at any time; Accept restores the default loading.

First-party storage

Key ptcgp_consent in localStorage. Value: the choice (granted or denied), a timestamp and an expiry. Purpose: remember whether analytics, heatmaps and ads may run. Retention: 180 days, then the next visit writes a new record. The site stores a record when you press Accept or Reject; an initial visit displays the banner without storing an acceptance.

Key ptcgp_adsbar_closed in localStorage. Value: 1 once you press Hide ad bar. Purpose: keep the fixed Adsterra Social Bar closed on later page views. Retention: until you clear site data. Neither key is sent to a server; both live only in this browser.

Google Analytics 4

Pages carry a Google Analytics 4 tag (measurement ID G-TVGBX0RM3L) that requests www.googletagmanager.com and sends events to *.google-analytics.com. Google sets the _ga and _ga_ cookies to tell visits apart; Google's default lifetime for both is up to 2 years. Purpose: count page views and see which guides are read. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring the site, with analytics_storage granted by default and set to denied after Reject. Google's own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy; the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout opts out of GA4 everywhere.

Microsoft Clarity

Pages carry Microsoft Clarity project z77cbmt69k, which requests www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms and reports to *.clarity.ms (including lettered collection hosts). Its documented cookies include _clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK, MR and MUID; exact expiry depends on the vendor and browser. Microsoft documents playback retention of 30 days, and heatmaps plus labeled or favorited sessions of 9 months. Purpose: see where readers get stuck. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the pages, with its loader blocked on the reloaded page after Reject. Clarity masks form input by default. Microsoft's policy is at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Adsterra advertising

The site loads Adsterra inventory as publisher 3403020: a Native Banner (unit 32047820) inside the article flow and a Social Bar (unit 32047821) fixed to the bottom-right corner. Both scripts come from bicea.org and may request creatives and measurement endpoints from *.adsterra.com and its creative CDNs. Adsterra and its demand partners may set cookies or similar identifiers on their own domains to cap frequency, measure clicks and personalise ads; this site cannot read those cookies, and they follow Adsterra's policy at adsterra.com/privacy-policy. Adult ads are switched off in the panel. Both units request their vendor scripts by default and are blocked after Reject. The three Google advertising consent signals start denied; these Google signals do not control the separate Adsterra vendor. Reject is the control that stops Adsterra.

Opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, the DAA opt-out or Your Online Choices (EU). Blocking ads altogether with an extension also stops these requests.

YouTube, only when you press Play

Trailer buttons use a still image hosted on this site. The youtube-nocookie.com iframe is created only after a click, and only while the stored choice is not Reject. Google may then set cookies or similar identifiers under YouTube's own policy. Purpose: play the official trailer. Legal basis: the click. I do not receive the YouTube cookie.

Other third parties

No other third-party script is loaded. There is no ad network besides Adsterra, no Cloudflare analytics beacon, no social embed and no comment system. Hosting and Cloudflare delivery services may process request metadata such as IP address, path and user agent. A verified server-log retention interval is not available in this review, so this policy does not assign one.

Mail and rights

A message you send to [email protected] is kept long enough to answer and to fix the page, then deleted from the mailbox when the thread is done. You can ask for a copy or deletion of that correspondence, object to the legitimate-interest processing above, or withdraw consent with Cookie settings. The consent record is on your device; clearing site data deletes it. This policy changes by editing this page and updating the date above. The date identifies the published policy version; it is not a record of visitor consent.

FAQ

Do you load ads and analytics before I click Accept?

Yes. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and the two Adsterra units load on the first page view; the banner tells you so and lets you withdraw. Reject turns all three off and remembers that for 180 days.

How do I withdraw?

Use Cookie settings in the footer and choose Reject. That sets every consent signal to denied, removes the Clarity tag and Adsterra units, blocks YouTube, and stores the choice in ptcgp_consent for 180 days.

Can I turn off personalised ads only?

Use the opt-out links above (Google Ads Settings, the DAA opt-out, Your Online Choices). Reject on this site goes further and stops the Adsterra units from loading at all.
